Day
25
- Transformed
by Trouble
God
can use every problem. Our everyday circumstances are even more
important in helping us fulfill our purpose than special Bible study
times and other methods because they happen everyday, all day.
God
does not create trouble for us. Trouble can come from simply living in a
world where people make mistakes, and it can even come from our own
actions at times. Trouble is part of life, but God can use it to help
make us better, which will help us to get through other troubles that
will come.
Romans
8.28-29 tells us:
"That’s
why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is
worked into something good. God knew what he was doing from the very
beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who
love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands
first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and
intended shape of our lives there in him." (MSG)
This
passage tells us some things about our lives. God is in charge and can
work in our lives, and we were designed to become more like Christ.
Christ's life was developed by difficulty. Even when he was just born,
someone wanted to kill him! [Matthew 2.13] It was through these
difficulties that people saw what was really inside. [Luke 23.47]
When
faced with problems, work toward responding as Jesus would. Remember
that God is in charge and wants good things for you. Rejoice and give
thanks, because God thinks you are worth making better. Finally, don't
give up. It will probably be hard, but it is worth it.
Thinking
about my purpose:
Know.
There is purpose behind every problem
Remember. "That’s
why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is
worked into something good. God knew what he was doing from the very
beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who
love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands
first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and
intended shape of our lives there in him." Romans 8.28-29 (MSG)
Think
about it.
What are some tough things I have overcome and have made me better?
