Your Assignment
Part
of your design on earth is to give back. You aren't made to simply stand
around using up food and air. You are designed with a ministry, a way to
give back and be a part of creation.
You
were created to serve God.
There are things that only you can do for God, because he created you so
precisely.
You
were saved to serve God.
We need to give as we have been given.
You
are called to serve God.
As a Christian, service is part of the deal. Service doesn't save us,
but as Christians we can't get the most out of life without it.
You
are commanded to serve God.
Serving is something we are told to do. So often we think we need to
prepare more, but God wants us to do what we learn. Early Christians
understood that there is no difference between truly knowing and doing.
The
fact is that we will have to give God an account of what we did with our
lives. Only by giving back can we have life to the fullest. We are built
to serve, and when we serve we are doing what God wants of us. We need
to constantly remind ourselves of this.
Thinking
about my purpose:
Know.
Service is not optional.
Remember.
“For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." -Ephesians 2.10
(NIV)
Think
about it.
What is my excuse for not serving, and what can I do to get past it?
