- Thinking
Like A Servant
In
order to be a servant, you have to think like one.
Servants
think about others more than themselves. If we think about ourselves, the blessings we will gain from
serving, or thinking it is a bargaining chip with God, then we aren't
serving with the right thoughts.
Servants
know they don't own things.
Servants realize that everything in this world will go away, and
everything came from God. As a result, true servants aren't always
trying to get more. They are trying to use what they have for God.
Servants
start with Christ.
They don't need others to think they are wonderful for serving because
they know that Christ loves them. Until you learn that Christ's approval
is all you need, you will be held back in serving.
Servants
realize that ministry is an opportunity, not an obligation. When
we understand ministry, we enjoy serving!
Thinking
about my purpose:
Know. To
be a servant I must think like a servant.
Remember. “Your
attitude should be the same as Christ Jesus." -Philippians 2.5 (NIV)
Think
about it.
Am I usually more concerned about being served or looking for ways to
serve others?
