- God's
Power in Your Weakness
God
knows all about you. He knows about all your weaknesses. While we make
excuses and fear that our weakness will stop us from serving him, he
knows that everyone is imperfect and even uses our weakness. God is not
limited by us. We need to learn to give our weaknesses to God.
Admit
your weaknesses.
Stop pretending they aren't there. Figure out what they are and write
them down. God already knows them and loves you anyway.
Don't
get worried about your weaknesses.
They remind us to keep looking to God. We need to remember that his work
is not about us, it is about him. Our weaknesses remind us who is really
in control of everything.
Tell
others about your weakness.
One of your biggest weaknesses may be that you aren't willing to admit
to others that you aren't perfect! Being honest can be scary, but you
don't need to list your problems to everyone. The point of this is so
that those you trust can watch out and help you. Then you can be more
honest and humble.
Take
pride in your weakness.
When we have admitted our weaknesses and find that God uses us anyway,
we have reason to celebrate. God takes the time to work with us. Until
we admit our weaknesses to ourselves and others, we will struggle with
feeling like we are trying to do the work by ourselves.
Thinking
About My Purpose:
Know. God
works best when I admit my weaknesses.
Remember.
"My grace is sufficient for you, my power is made perfect in
weakness." -2 Corinthians 12.9a (NIV)
Think
about it.
Am I getting in the way of God's work by trying to hide what he and
everyone else already knows? If there is a weakness I am not being
honest about to him and others, then I probably am getting in his way.
